Raised on the mud banks of the Avon River, Nova Scotian funeral director-turned-songwriter Terra Spencer draws you into a knee-to-knee conversation in a room of 5 or 500. With her butterscotch vibrato, deft fingerstyle guitar, church bench piano, sly humour, and ‘70s wood-paneled warmth, Terra has performed at many of Canada's premiere folk festivals and charmed audiences in the UK and Germany. Her startling knack for telling intimate stories has led to Juno-nominated songs recorded by David Francey and Matt Andersen. She has become a sought-after studio musician, co-writer, producer, and workshop facilitator. Recently her song "Brick and Mortar" was named the winner of the Commonwealth Song Contest out of 20,000 entries. Her 2002 album with Ben Caplan, Old News, was named the 2023 Music NS Folk/Roots Recording of the Year and is nominated for 2024 CFMA Folk Recording and Contemporary Singer of the Year. She is currently touring with Canadian folk icon David Francey. Fans have drawn comparisons to Randy Newman, Karen Carpenter, and Joni Mitchell, but Terra has yet to impress her toughest critics - her two sweet mutts, Cleo and Giddy. "The real deal." - Ron Sexsmith

“Terra Spencer is a sparklingly intelligent writer, open-hearted, insightful and eloquent. As natural a poet as ever put pen to paper and a soul as beautiful as her melodies would imply.” - David Francey

As you look at the seating map, you will notice that seats are numbered in a pattern where odd numbers are sequentially placed on one side (e.g., 1, 3, 5, 7, etc.), and even numbers are sequentially placed on the opposite side (e.g., 2, 4, 6, 8, etc.). This means that when you purchase seats side by side, the numbers will increase by 2 as you move across the row (e.g., if you have seats 5 and 7, they are next to each other).
