Award-winning, Nova Scotia artist and producer, Erin Costelo will present one of the most beloved albums in history. Carole King's "Tapestry". In addition to this album, Erin will showcase her album We Can Get Over in an opening set. In 2022, We Can Get Over celebrates its 10 year anniversary and was highly inspired by the songwriting of Carole King, making it a perfect fit to complete this show. "We Can Get Over is a soulful affair that draws from classic singer-songwriter records of the '60s and '70s to build a warm, intimate atmosphere that harbours songs about those things in life worth fighting for: love, freedom, hope."
A triple threat, Erin has numerous awards to her credit as an artist, songwriter and producer. Her records have received critical acclaim and extensive airplay in Canada, the US and Europe where she has delighted concert audiences for over a decade as both a headliner and opener for such notable legends as Mavis Staples, Dr. John, and Boz Scaggs. She has also shared the stage with Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble, Amy Helm, Shannon McNally, Matt Anderson and Joel Plaskett.
Erin has arranged music for CBC Radio and CBC TV, she has written horn and string arrangements for Juno award winners Amelia Curran and Stephen Fearing and for Polaris Prize nominated hip hop artist, Aquakultre. She has received numerous commissions for her writing including the Upstream Ensemble, CBC Radio, Symphony Nova Scotia, the Blue Engine String Quartet and the Hourglass ensemble. In 2021, Erin did choral arrangements and mixed the recording for a group of international choristers commissioned by the prestigious Eisteddfod Festival in Wales.
